Yesterday in Kondo, I was surrounded by children from the village.

I took pictures, impulsively, without a plan. Afterwards, I look at the photos and see a boy in a T-shirt with the image of Batman.

I think to myself, you are stronger and bigger than him. This is how you “don’t live” – he certainly couldn’t.

No one can convince me otherwise, because African life is too difficult. Especially for children.

My eyes have seen so much sadness here, in 100 lifetimes. So much hunger, for 1000 lives.

I don’t know why the world sleeps. Why isn’t everyone literally screaming, hey, our children are dying of hunger!

Is it because they think they are not “their” children? And they are. Oh, they really are.

Haven’t we all finally realized that we only grow when we help others?

No, I don’t want to be a tiny acorn, I want to be a towering sequoia!

Love is called by your name, dear Pathfinders.
