Letters

The godfather can send his letter to his godchild twice a year via the e-mail address: pismo@putokazzaafriku.com.

We ask godparents to write letters with motivating content that would be nice to read, and to refrain from sharing their problems in letters – because these hungry children really have enough problems.

It is best to write something like this example:
“Dear child Francois, we are the Kružić family, mom Maja, dad Vinko, son Marin and daughter Ivana.
We live in Zagreb. As parents, we are busy, and the children go to school. Hereby we want to tell you that we are thinking of you and that we are looking forward to your progress. We also tell you to go to school every day and to listen to mom and dad. We are here to support you and to be with you every step of the way. The Kružić family.”

What not to write:
We always warn you not to write unnecessary data in e-mails or letters (especially phone numbers, mobile phones, bank account numbers, any personal data such as OIB or email addresses), which could be misused.

Don’t promise anything you can’t deliver. It is normal that a child will ask for and expect all sorts of things – after all, he is a child. And keep in mind that if the child is small and doesn’t know English, one of the older housemates or neighbors will answer that letter.

As long as there is poverty, injustice and inequality, none of us can truly rest. It doesn’t take much to change a life, get in touch today and start making a difference.
